Framework for Development and Operation of Cloud Services

The complexity of modern application development is rising. In this thesis, my efforts aim at designing and demonstrating a framework consisting of cloud-native services that target common business-critical issues. I explore the available cloud service providers on the market and current technologies for implementing both server and client-side web applications running in cloud environments. I have developed the services of this framework following microservice architecture principles with a working demo application that utilizes this framework.

Tato bakalářské práce se zabývá mikroservnisní architekturou. Hlavními cíli této práce je analýza architektury mikroslužeb, porovnání s architekturou monolitu a vytvoření ukázkového informačního systému za pomoci konceptů odhalené z architektury mikroslužeb. Tato práce vnáší pohled na objem práce, který tato architektura obnáší. Systém je uzpůsobený na správu apartmánů, uživatelů a rezervací. Text práce se zabývá nejdůležitějšími faktory získané z analýzy této archiktektury, procesem specifikace domény ubytovacích služeb a vývojem samotného systému za pomoci uplatnění těchto konceptů.

Automatic Webpage Content Categorisation and Extraction

This thesis describes the development of a flexible system for automatically categorising and extracting content from web pages, with a focus on the darknet environment. We have designed a highly adaptable and scalable system capable of handling any type of content, while taking great care in considering the overall architecture, database structure, and processing pipeline. Using the state-of-the-art language model trained on the natural language inference task, we demonstrate the model's potential to categorise content effectively in a zero-shot environment. We also conduct an analysis of the performance of various hypothesis templates. To further enhance the data extraction process, we have integrated a named entity recognition model and templating methodology for content extraction and proposed an automated segmentation approach using OpenAI's ChatGPT model. In addition, we have developed a user-friendly web client application to enhance the system's accessibility and ease-of-use, evaluated the achieved results, and identified areas for further research and development in this field.

Cloud Computing Application Design Patterns

Cieľom tejto práce je demonštrovať existujúce cloudove vzory, ktoré riešia problémy v cloud prostrediach. Rôzne cloudove vzory sú analyzované najprv na vyššej úrovni z pohľadu architektúry aplikácie a následne aj na nižších úrovniach pre jednotlivé komponenty. Tieto architektúry a komponenty poskytujú výhodu v istých situáciách a záleží na správaní aplikácie, ako veľmi zjednodušia a zlepšia využívanie cloud prostredia. Je navrhnutá demo aplikácia, ktorá ma 2 návrhy. Prvý návrh používa servisy, ktore vyzdvihuju výhody AWS a druhý návrh možno nasadiť v súkromných cloudoch ale aj na AWS. Aplikácia je nasadzovaná pomocou kubernetov a používa microservisy ako zvolenú architektúru. Po nasadení sú nad aplikáciou urobené experimenty, ktoré slúžia na overenie použitých vzorov a či mali očakávané dopady na aplikáciu.

Test Suite of the EAS Framework

This work focuses on the software testing of the system with an emphasis on lower layers of testing, which includes unit and integration testing. The primary objective is to showcase the testing process using the EAS (Effective Agenda System) framework, starting with the test plan process followed by the creation of the final test suite that will evaluate the performance of the system's backend microservices. This test suite covers a significant part of the system's functionality. The results are stored and analyzed in the final test report. Performed analysis of the system and the final suite serve as valuable assets in the context of testing.
